TWO WAYS TO TAKE IN THE BEAUTY OF BELIZE

TWO WAYS TO TAKE IN THE BEAUTY OF BELIZE

Travel

Hey Everyone!

It’s been over a week since I returned from my trip and I’m pretty sure I left my mind on the beach. I haven’t been able to focus at all since I got back. As a matter of fact, my head has been so far in the clouds, I forgot that I wanted to provide you all with two ways to take in the beauty of Belize. For some reason, this island had a profound effect on me. I’m not entirely sure why but I think the fact that it reminds me so much of Jamaica has something to do with it. They eat the same food we do and their accents sound like ours. They even play reggae music! It definitely felt like I had gone home!

Belize is such a beautiful island! There’s also a huge variety of wildlife there. My boyfriend and I wanted to explore those things. That’s why we elected to do the Sunset Cruise and Monkey River Tour during our stay.

Nothing beats the beauty of watching a sunset. What separates the Sunset Cruise from simply going outside to watch the sunset is the fact that you get to tour the area a bit before it happens. I also can’t neglect to mention how romantic it is. As part of the package, you get to munch on some lite bites as well as sip on a glass of wine. If you’re lucky, you may even get a chance to see some Dolphins and Manatees like we did!

Isn’t that gorgeous?! After the cruise, we were dropped off in Placencia Village. This village is a great place to have dinner and drinks before heading back to your hotel for the evening. You can also find tons of jewelry and souvenirs here!

Our next excursion was the Monkey River Tour. If you qualify as more of an adventurous type, then this tour is for you! The Monkey River Tour is a boat tour that takes you through the Belizean jungle. During your boat ride you can expect to see things like: Blue Herons, Short-Nosed Bats, Vultures, Crocodiles, Iguanas, Turtles and even Howler Monkeys! I really enjoyed this tour and HIGHLY recommend that you do it if you go to Placencia, Belize.
